The new GT is faster, but I’m having lots of fun with “just a four banger”. Track days are a blast, autocross is awesome, and I have a smile on my face with every drive to work.

The current gen mustang really is a properly good car. Even my sister’s 2016 base V6/manual is a good, properly quick car. The only complaint besides rev hang is that the soft, base suspension and tall soft-sidewall tires lose a bit of composure at 10/10ths. It is a fun 9/10ths car on a twisty road, though. I would happily daily drive an ecoboost with the performance package.
